The highly respected Joe Strummer Foundation has been based in Hastings for a couple of years now, and continue to do some sterling qork worldwide.
Two years ago they put on their first Strummerville-On-Sea gig in Hastings at The Albion, and very good it was too.
Well now they're back again with another evening of great music, showcasing new talent from across the UK.
Strummerville-On-Sea takes place at the Brass Monkey, in Havelock Road, Hastings on Saturday, 3rd February from 6pm.
There is a Facebook Event page for the gig at: facebook.com/events/1920784184618163
Acts playing on the night are Arrows Of Love (East London), Bloody Knees, Yowl (Peckham), Lice (Bristol) and Heavy Lungs.
A Playlist of tracks from all the acts playing can be listened to via Soundcloud at: strummervile-on-sea-presents
Jamie Webb from JSF told us "The Joe Strummer Foundation is teaming up with Independent Venue Week to put on a special show in Hastings, East Sussex.
We want to put on a show that will well and truly put Hastings on the map and give young people something exciting that can really look forward too. The area seems to get missed off tour schedules and needs some love.
A bill consisting of brilliant new breakthrough bands would be just the ticket and with performances by Arrows Of Love, Bloody Knees, Yowl, Lice and Heavy Lungs we think we've nailed it, and we are excited
The Joe Strummer Foundation will keep door prices to a minimum and pay all acts as well as raising needed funds and awareness for the charity."
It promises to be another great night in Hastings.
